DPA mics record location ADR for Spanish blockbuster Agora
DPA 4006 omnidirectional mics, purchased via UK distributor Sound Network, have been used on Agora, a new film by Spanish director Alejandro Amenabar, starring Rachel Weisz and Max Minghella set in Roman Egypt. The mics were used for crowd ADR sessions shot on location at Fort Ricasoli in Malta.

DPA Microphones has announced the launch of a new company, Audio², to market, distribute and service its products in France.

Rupin worked at Hilton Sound France and Mille et un Sons as DPA product manager from 1992 to 1999, and Was then the exclusive DPA agent for Pulse France from the end of 2004 to 2006. The company - currently a staff of five, from live sound and studio backgrounds - will work closely with a dealer network, connected by a dedicated extranet system, to cover the entire country as well as handling specialised markets including broadcast, PA, theatre and studio, and dealing with end users from the top-end MI business. The Audio² internet site, www.dpa.audio2.fr, comes online in December for a wide range of services
"Through years of cooperation with Didier Rupin, we have seen a dedicated and passionate DPA advocate," says Morten Støve, DPA sales and marketing director. "Having him on board as our French connection is something I have wished for many years."
